Thanks for your comments. My Patrick F. arrived in Newark, N.J. about 1848 and I think Hugh arrived somewhat earlier. Do you have any information from the mid 1800 time period? I have not traced the children of my Hugh, (Hugh had one son, Michael) but Patrick's children stayed in the Newark area. However, at least one of Patrick's grandchildren left Newark and went to upstate New York-Herkimer County/Fulton County. If you are interested, I could send you my genealogy charts in case we connect at some point.
