I found some info I had, but don't know where I got it. It says he was in Co. F 35th regiment, fought in civil war, galant hero, found dead in home, with a ? of suicide. Also said lived 1/2 century in Muscatine and owned 3/4 of Muscatine island (that would be Fruitland) He was a memeber of Shelby Norman post and labored for advancement of such. Wish I remembered where I got this. At the time I wondered if he was related to George, my greatgrandfather. Now I know he was. Hope you are getting this info
