Martin Fitzsimmons m.Mary Fenlon in Co.Wexfordin village church of Glenbryan in town of Enniscorthy near town of Gorey. Martin was baptized Aug.1,1869 in parish church in village of Ballyoughter in Gorey. Two other brothers also baptized there-James on April 1 1867,andWilliam on July 21,1872. Another brother,John was baptized elsewhere but eventually came to Newport with other family members.Martin F. and Mary moved to Newport after marrying. They had 3 children,all buried at St. Colomba's Cath. cemetery in Middleton,RI.James,a tennis pro at the Newport casino died of TB at Saranac Lake,NY and also a sister, Mary who also died of TB inNY City Neither James nor Mary had any children. The third child was John Martin Fitzsimmons, my husbands grandfather. He married Margaret O'Hara fom Fall River,Mass. date? They had 2 sons--my father-in-law,James Charles(died 1988),married Natalie Sisson(died 1987)Pompano Beach Fla.,They had 1 son,my husband,Michael K,Fitzsimmons,bornFeb.1952, in Saudi Arabia. James'brother is John who resides in Mass.presently and has 3 children--John.Martha,and James.
