I am researching Henry FITZSIMMONS of Pickens co GA who discovered marble. He is my husband's ggggrandfather. Henry b. 5 Feb 1802 married Almira Burk 22 Apr 1819 in Greene co GA. According to his tombstone he died 24 Dec 1845, but his estate was probated in Mar 1845 and his wife remarried 8 Jun 1845. There were six children: Mary Catherine, William T., Almyra V., Terrence Emett, Patrick Washington (my line), and Roxanny A.
