If I look back on my birth certificate it shows all the Fitz-Patricks using a hyphen to separate the names. My father is called Dennis and went to Bedford school. There are many Fitz-Patricks who went to Bedford school in Bedford England, this is an old style English public school. My father Dennis had a sister called Eileen, his father my grandfather also Dennis was a medical sales person as he failed medical school. They lived in Bromham Bedfordshire. My grandfathers brothers were all Doctors and based in Warwickshire, they lived in the Old house in Warwickshire where there is a large family grave/vault of Fitz-Patricks. The family were originally in the Artillery Regiment at sometime. I have a very unusual piece of paper with a very old family crest. It has been in my possession for about 38 years and before this was in my great grandfathers possession for over 50 years. I can scan a copy and send it to you. The inscription on the crest translated into English reads Strength over comes Strength. It is not one of these modern ones that you can get from an old ancestral research centre and it is on very old paper. I would estimate this piece of paper to be around 200 years old or more. My father Dennis was born in about 1938
I know there was a Fitz-Patrick reunion in Warwickshire a few years ago but I was unable to attend.
I also know that one of my uncles has published a book on the Fitz-Patrick family and he now lives in Australia. As we speak I have been informed that my great grandfather lived in Welsbourne Warwickshire and he was married to his wife, her maiden name was Bissell or Bissel.
If you know where I can find any further information it would be appreciated
