Actually, the current duke of Fitz-James, Luis Eduardo Silva de Balboa, 1948.-
The title of duke of Fitz-James was granted by Louis XIV to the french branch of the Fitz-James family, the others, went to Spain, and are related to the House of Alba, beng the dukes of Berwick. Jacobo Fitz-James went to Spain and Edward to France, after their father James II, went to France.
The spanish branch has kept the name as "Fitz-James Stuart" and the french "Fitz-James", as in France the Stuarts had political problems. One the french Fitz-James went to Mexico involved in insurance business and married to a mexican lady (morales meraz). You could get in touch by
Also another Fitz-James went to Canada, who is a lawyer.
The House of Fitz-James is quite relevant as is also related to the Churchill and dukes of Marlboro, etc.
Hoping to have cooperating to your interest.
Most respecfully yours
