What was Mary Fitzhugh's maiden name? She was the 2nd wife of Alexander Cunningham, b. 1791 in Halifax Co., VA. He moved with his family to Randolph Co., NC in 1798, and remained there until about 1835. He was very active in politics and in the community here. In addition to his being a Justice of Peace, hatter, and farmer, he served in the House of Commons for NC, in 1829 and 1831. His lst wife was Anne Hinshaw, a Quaker, and they had a son and daughter per 1830 census. Does anyone have more information on Mary Fitzhugh, and when they married?
