Interesting.My grandmother's 1st born child was a daughter, I believe named Elenor.Considering the time frames, this daughter could have been about the same age as your mother.I think it is worth keeping in touch, as connections sometimes happen where they're least expected.I haven't found anyone else with a Patrick F. Fitzgibbon(s) in their family.
Perhaps there was a family reason why my grandmother's oldest son just happened to move to Wheaton, Ill. & open a shoestore there, with another brother later joining him & then my father moved to Wheaton in 1950 to work in the shoestore too.The 3 brothers were the only relatives in the area, to my knowledge...On my Dad's side of the family anyway.Wheaton is only 30 miles from Chicago.
