This is a reply to a very old message.I have Fitzgibbon in my family tree.I recently visited Crusheen where I met Tommy Fitzgibbon and his father Jimmy Fitzgibbon of the townland of shrangaloon, Crusheen (inchicronan). My grandfather was Cornelius Conway from Gortifica, Crusheen, Clare. He was born in 1864.Immigrated to Us in 1885. His father, Michael and his Uncle Johnwere married to sisters Mary and Briget Fitzgibbon. I think there are 3 related familys of Fitzgibbon in shrangaloon.Martin was one of them.Edmund and James were proably the other.I havnt connected where Mary and Briget were related.I talked to Tommy and Jimmy Fitgibbon when I was in Ireland this summer.Their family has lived on the Tubber road for 150 years, They told me that some family of Fitzgibbon have been in Crusheen in recent years looking for relatives.I have other info on this Fitzgobbon name.
