Mary Elizabeth could be the daughter of Solomon Fite b 1803 NC and 1. Eliza b 1815 NC. I have never figured out who were his parents. I found him in the 1850 and 1860 Lumpkin Co GA censuses and 1870 Hall Co GA.
By his first wife Eliza, he had Abram b 1833, Mary (could be the above) b 1836, Harriet b 1838, Permelia b 1840, Solomon Lindley b 1842, Sarah b 1846, George S. b
1848 and Thomas b 1849. By second wife Laura L b 1820 NC, he had Bloomer Rankin b 1851 and John W b 1854. By third wife Nancy Gamblin b 1831 GA d 1909 Jackson Co GA he had Andrew Jackson b 1862.
He cant be the son of Solomon Fite and Frances Wells as this Solomon was born 1797; the above was born 1803 or maybe 1811.
I wonder if he could be a son of George Fite b 1775 and Jenny Owens. I know that he had more children than I have listed. He married 1797 in Mecklenburg Co NC.
Hope someone has some thoughts on this.
