I did find Robert Fite b1835 in the 1880 Newton Co MO Granby census p529. His wife has died, and children Samuel, Ada, Laura, and Anna are living with him. Also, his mother in law Nancy Caldwell. I dont know whether he could be the son of David Fite and Frances Cathey with a birth date of 1832 or 1835. Their last child was born 1827.
