Hi -

I am a newbie here, feeling like I've stumbled into a whole new world!

I'm from the Fites that descend from Gilbert through Benjamin Franklin Fite who died in the Civil War at the Battle of Missionary Ridge in Tennesee. My father (also named after him) has a copy of his service record and has seen the plaque in TN with his name on it.

I never knew there were so many Fites around!
