Nancy Carlock (daughter of Isaac, granddaughter of Hancrist, grgranddaughter of David), b. Overton Co., TN, March 30, 1801/d. near Resaca GA, Sept. 13, 1889; m. Peter Fite, Feb. 24, 1824, in McMinn Co. TN; husband an enterprising planter, who was b. in Rowan Co., NC, Jan 5, 1793; moved to GA in 1844 and settled upon a farm near Resaca where he reared a large family and died there Oct., 22, 1888; he was a highly respected citizen of rugged honesty, and of strong convictions. Nancy Carlock was a refined gentee; home-loving woman, devoted to her husband and children, Children (FITE): Henderson Wesley FITE, b. Nov. 27, 1824; m. Sarah Turner Denman. Julina Harvey FITE, b. April 26, 1827; m. 1st to William Henry Crawford BYROM; m. second to John C. K. McLinn. Monroe FITE, died in infancy. Isaac Marion FITE, b. Dec. 19 1830; m. Mary ann McClure. Jacob Alexander FITE, b. March 31, 1833; m. Mellie Clio Gideon. Houston Montgomery FITE, b. April 23, 1835; Confederate soldier, killed in battle of Fredericksburgh, VA, May 26, 1863. Lemuel Peter FITE, died in infancy. Parshall Harrison FITE, b. in GA and m. ; 1874 emigrated with his family to TX, since which time all record of his family appears to have been lost. Sarah Elizabeth FITE, b. March 19, 1843; m.
