My wife and I have decided to "de-accession" four Fytche family portraits at a Christie's auction on June 4th. The subjects are:
1. Sir William Fytche of Garnetts, c. 1610, attributed to Marcus Gheerarts the Younger, 42 X 36 in.
2. His wife, Dorothy Cornwallis (Lady Fytche), c. 1610, English School, 42 X 36 in.
3. William Fytche of Bengal, c. 1752, Thomas Hudson or follower, 29 X 24 in.
4. His wife "Agnes" Fytche (poss. Lucia Beard), c. 1730s, unknown artist, 29 X 24 in.
