In tracing my Greer ancestors, I have recently found unconfirmed information that Capt William Shadrach Greer (Sr, 1710-1787) married "Mary Sarah Ann Fitch" b. 1714 in Norwich. This information shows her parents as Deacon Benjamin Fitch, Sr (b. 1691, Plymouth Cty, MA - d. 1727, Norwich, CT) and Hannah Read, b. 1688, Norwich, CT - d. 1761 place not stated. There may be a connection between these Fitches in Norwich at about the same time.
