What I should have said is that I have found that many of the Healdsburg/Sonoma families were connected prior to coming to the area. My line is the Bradford's of Healdsburg descended from the Joseph Bradford and Anne Fitch, which is obviously long way back. However, this family continued to marry within a closely associated group of New Englanders over generations. One individual Cynthia Parmelee born 1807 CT lived in several states prior to making it to Healdsburg in 1872. We have two photos of Ulysees S. Grant, one autographed and I am trying to find out why. I am also trying to find out why these closely tied families came to the area, and I suspect Fitch,Norton, or Grant may have been the link. Let me look at your site more closely and get back to you. Thank you
