Fred,
I am curious why you are trying to link to this Joseph Fiske as the father of James Benjamine Fiske.

Do you have something that says James' father was a Joseph Fiske from Massachusetts?

I know of another Joseph Fiske who I have nothing on. He was the son of Rev. Samuel Fiske and Anna Gerrish. He was baptised in 1748 so he was born before that and his parents were married in 1739 so he wouldn't be any older than that.

So this Joseph Fiske would have been born between 1739 and 1748 and born in Massachusetts. Apart from that I have nothing on him no death, or marriage, nothing.

If you do not have any leads on James' father or mother, I can't recommend anyone, there are way too many male Fiskes who just drop off the radar after their births. Especially if they left New England.

Bob
