What I can tell you is that My line of Riddles as we are told, are not part of the Melungeon database based on my results. i have spoke with Jack and I had applyed to this group but have not matched them or the Riddle Surname group. So some mystery prevails.
There are storys of Johnson Riddle being an adopted son with the move to Hawkins county TN. There is evidence that the Riddles and Bunches were tight. Frankly there are more questions than answers regarding the Johnson Riddle line.
