I have just started on my Fisher line and have in my possession two handwritten sheets of fisher genealogy. One is in my great Lucile Fisher's handwriting the other in the handwriting of Andrew Gore written in Jan 1868..

The second sheet I will give first as it lists all 15 children of John Fisher and Nancy Mary Fraser.

John Fisher b Lebanon Co PA b Aug 27 1777 m Nancy Fraser b Philadelphia 1781
(actually says Nancy Fisher)

Goes on to list Mary Fisher b Fayette PA 1799 ( I am guessing still born or died early as she would make 16 children not 15)

Joseph Fisher b1803
David Fisher b 1804
Margaret Fisher b 1805
Elizabeth Fisher b 1807
John Fisher b 1809
Mahlon Fisher b 1810
David Fisher b 1812 has a check mark beside it so am assuming this was part of Andrew Gore's line)
Catherine Fisher b 1814
Foster Fisher b 1815
Peter Fisher b 1818
Nancy Fisher b 1819
Maria Fisher b 1821
Jacob Fisher b 1822
Thornton Fisher b 1824
Sarah Fisher b 1826

To the side of the paper is "Written by Andrew Gore, Mound City Kans Jan 1868. Andrew served in the Civil War and is buried in the Civil War Cemetery in Mound City.

On the back is written Births Gore Family
_____ Gore July 1842
Andrew Gore 1848

Deaths
Jacob Fisher Oct 18, 1822
died at Athens , Ohio March 1890

The first paper is yellow and Is either in the handwriting of my great Aunt Lucile Charlotte Fisher (she was called Lotte as a child) or my Grandmother India Fisher Terhune. (she is mistakingly named as Indiana on some census records in Endicott Washington. ) She hated the name India.

It begins with
John Fisher born Lebanon PA 1777 married Nancy Fraser (scotch)
i
David Fraser b Fayette Co PA 1811 or 1812 married Sarah Jane Houston (Welch or English) (it should be Huston not Houston)
i

1. Lewis M Fisher b 1840 New Union Town PA
Alice J Fisher
John Fisher
Frank Fisher
2. Joseph Fisher Killed in action Civil War
3. John Fisher Died in Hospital Civil War
4. Jake Fisher
5 Henry Fisher
6. Albert Fisher
7. Homer C (Clark) Fisher -my ggrandfather.. Married Cassie (Catherine) Downey Moore b 2/ 27/2858 m in 1881 (i think it should be 1880)
i
India Fisher (My grandmother ) b June 4 1885 married Harry Terhune 1909
Lucile Charlotte Fisher b July 14 1894
Ross C (Clark) Fisher b April 4 1900 m Aline Rice 1929 (He was a Lawyer and she was his sec'y)
8. David Crockett Fisher
9. Mary Elizabeth Fisher
10. Emma Jane Fisher.

Lucile never married. She was an artist and a good shot with a rifle. She graduated from U of Wash at 16 -majored in Latin.
I know there was another girl who did not live very long named Ruby. Homer and Catherine were both teachers and for some time Margaret Moore and Martha Moore Cassie's sisters lived with them. My dad John Terhune lived at ggrandfather and ggrandmother Fisher's and went to school to Aunt Martha for a time.
The Fishers lived in Spokane Washington and they are buried in Fairmount Cemetery in Spokane along with all the kids and cousins and the Terhune kids and cousins.

What I want to know is where did John Fisher b 1777 come from in the first place????? Was he of German decent?? Does anyone know?? Does anyone have the names of any of the spouses of either John Fisher's kids or David Fisher's kids. Julie
