I am looking to establish the ancestors of the Catherine Fisher who was born about 1776 in northwestern New Jersey (probably Hunterdon or Morris County). She married William Culver about 1790 in New Jersey.
William was the son of Joseph Culver and Phoebe [?]. He was born ca. 22 Jun 1772 in Morris County, New Jersey, and lived in Hackettstown at some point. They and their children Elizabeth (m Captain Henry Medcalf), Joseph (m Jemima Maria Moore Backhouse), and Adam (m Nancy Leach) moved to Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada, in 1798/99. They had another daughter, Charity (m William Rusling) in Canada.
William Culver died 13 Aug 1828 in Woodhouse, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. Catherine lived to a ripe old age, dying on 25 Dec 1867 in Townsend Township, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. They are both buried at St. John's Anglican Church in Woodhouse Township, Norfolk County, Ontario.
Catherine Fisher may have been the daughter of Christopher Fisher and Charity Boss, but I haven't found any solid evidence for this yet.
