Well, this does sound very interesting. My Fisher's are German also.My earliest is William (Wilhelm) Fisher b. 1767 and married to Mary Scott in Bedford, Va. 1793.Williams parents were supposed to have lived in Berks Co., Pa. but I have yet to prove who they were.William and Mary moved across the states of N.C., Tn. and Ky. where they settled for about 20 years. Their children were John, Nancy, William, maybe Nathan (not sure yet), James, Peter, Catharine, Elizabeth, Judith and Samuel Anthony.Settling with them in Green Co., Ky. were Jacob Fisher, Anthoney Fisher, John Fisher, Joseph Fisher, Peter Fisher, a 2nd Anthoney Fisher and Mary's brother John Scott. The 2 Anthoney's are listed as 45 plus on the 1810 census. One wife is listed as 45 plus and the other wife is listed as between 26 & 45 which suggests one is the "father" of this clan and the other the Jr. The other males arelisted as between 26 & 45 which we take to suggest they are probably brothers or cousins.I have all info on the descendants of William, but never researched the others really.I did come across a LDS Morman researcher who stated that she had done research for over 20 years and Anthoney Sr. was in her line. However, even though she stated she knew he had a son named William who she could not find any other info on, she did not want to include my William in her line.As this did not make sense to me, I just followed William and his descendants and left the rest to her.Williams son Peter is my direct line.If any of this is familiar to you, please let me know.My line of Peter and his parents and most brothers and families moved to Greene Co., Illinois by 1828.I have lots of info on them.
Thanks, Kathy
