Sandy Fisher 7/17/01
I'm presuming he was born in the late 1820's, early 1830's because he was already established in Pittsburgh by 1852-1855. He was a brickmaker and by standards wealthier than many. My great grandmother was Eleanora Crescentia Fisher, born in 1871.She was from George's second family(his first wife must have died). The info I have from my aunt is that george had four children she could remember.(These people would have been her grandmothers brothers and sisters...some were half siblings.Names..Amelia, Margaret, Lundy(I don't know, this might be a nickname) and Eleanora, my great-grandmother.Eleanora was married to a Daschbach. She is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Pitts. In 1877 George's business must have gone under. His house was sold at auction and he moved to Butler, Pa. where he had a farm. I always heard about the farm from my mother. We even have movies of the place from the 20's. Somehow the farm passed on to Aunt Mag.(Margaret).From there things are grey. I have back to J.George Fisher but not further than that.I'm also trying to find out the name of his wife, my great, great grandmother. I'm interested in your stephen because his son was george. Could your stephen be an older child of my george since the children were frequently named for grandparents. There are three firstborn Eleanors in my family. Do you have any other info on your Stephen?

Jim
