HULDA GLEASON was born in the Green Mountains of Vermont, January l, l829. She moved with her parents when quite young, to Columbiana County, Ohio, where she resided with her parents until she united in marriage with GEO. H. SNYDER, April 23, l848, of near Salem, Ohio. In l852 hearing the westward call, she emigrated to Missouri and settled on a homestead in Sugar Creek Township, Harrison County, where she pioneered until l867, when she moved to Bethany, Mo.
She resided in Bethany until the death of her husband, which occurred April 2l, l892, after which she lived among her children, consisting of 2 sons and 6 daughters. Two sons and four daughters, 24 grand and 34 great-grandchildren survive her.
A kind and loving mother and an indulgent wife has passed to the great unknown. Peace to her ashes. MRS. SNYDER died January 3, l9l8 at the home of her daughter, MRS. MAUDE FISHBURN, in Oklahoma City. Interment took place at Bethany, Mo., Sunday, January 6th. MRS. SNYDER was 89 years and two days old at the time of her death.
