W.A. Fishbaugh was born in Ohio 20 June 1873. Married Alice Elizabeth Greene in 1913. He moved to New York with his family as a small boy.He was in New York when the Spanish-American War began and enlisted in the Astor Battery,a lihjt artillery group organized and outfitted at the expense of John Jacob Astor.He served in the Philippins. He then returned to New York. He later joined a small group to search for gold in South Aferica. While there he enlisted in the British Army and served in the Boer War and in the Matabele Uprising in Rhodesia. He found no gold.He had aquired skill as a photographer and operated a photo business in Panama as the Canal was being built.He then went to Tampa ,FL and has a photo business there.His wife ended up in New York, unknown if divorced or not
