In Reply to: Daniel Fish b.1765-1782RI d.1816NY wife Susannah by Anne Weaver of 3011

Anne, I show that Daniel died 1814,killed in battle of Ft Erie, Upper Canada, War of 1812. Court papers reflect the 1814 date. On July 19, 1821 the ..."infant children" of Daniel Fish "personally appeared before the said Surrogate and have respectfully chosen their mother, Susanna Fish of the said Town of Lake Pleasant for their guardian...."

The record mentions DanielFish, Joseph Warren Fish, Susannah Fish, Elizabeth Fish and Ebenezer Fish as legitimate heirs of Daniel

Daniel was probably a descendant of Thomas Fish who was granted land in Portsmouth, RI 1643.

I don't have anything on Susannah's maiden name, but would investigate the possibility that she was the daughter of a Joseph Warren since she gave that name to her son. She died Sept 29, 1849 and is buried in Fish Mountain Cemetery

Daniel married Submit and Mercy, had son Isaac
Joseph Warren married Submit, and daughter Deliverance married George Courtney
Elizabeth married Willis Nichols
Ebenezer married Martha
