Thank you for that Bruce, I was aware of Alans death as Pat also contacted me. I had for the first time phoned them about two weeks ago but spoke only to Pat as by then Alan could not leave his bed. We are going to be in Vancouver for the first time ever for two odd days in May, and we were looking forward to meeting him. He and I share the same ancester in Martin Kirk. He is related to one of his daughters whilst I am related to one of his sons.
Thank you for your kind offer, I will take advantage of it some time, but I am not a very fast or regular researcher at the present.
