I am sad to tell you that Alan passed away last Saturday, April 4, 2009. He had developed ALS and that is why he stopped replying to correspondence. His wife Pat informed me today of his death. She does not have the genealogy "bug" and that is why she has not taken part in any forums.

I am also a distant relative of Alan and that is how I ended up being in correspondence with him 7 years ago. I do have most of his research so if there is a way I can help you out, please let me know.
