Fish of VT and NY

I am trying to trace the origins of an ancestor, Lyman Fish, b. abt 1808. I think he may be linked to the Fish family from Ira, VT. A Lyman shows up in Washington Co., NY in the 1820 census, in Ft. Edward, and in the 1830 census in Ft. Ann. The 1830 census also shows Hiram and other members of the Fish family. 1840 finds Lyman in Brasher, St. Lawrence Co., NY. His first wife was Adeline Ellis/Ely who died about 1840. His second wife was Hannah King who he married shortly after Adeline's death.

Any information showing a Lyman of this age connected to the Ira, Vt. Fish family is appreciated.
