Hi Anne,

I went to Nova Scotia this past summer, and the Shelburne Historical Society is quite helpful. I purchased a book there" Lost Mariners Of Shelburne County ". This listed the Allister and Arthur Firth, the father and son lost at sea.Do these names sound right? It also lists the children of Arthur and Bessie Firth and Mary Louise is one of them b. 4 December 1887.

My line, are descendants of James Firth, which I guess the family used to live on an island in Shelburne area called "Firth Island" in the 1700-1800's.

We possibly may be cousins. Marcia Firth who has also posted on the Gen. Forum, is probably your cousin.

Take care,Anita
