Hi Mary Kay,
Thanks so much for the information on your Finucane relatives.
I have looked through my files and have some information from My second cousin, Conor Finucane whose Grandfather(my greatgrandfather) was Patsy Finucane(B.1839). It seems that
his brother, Dan also eloped with one of the Fitzell girls and he went to New York and they had one daughter who used to visit a Hettie Finucane in Tarbert.
Another daughter of Fitzells also marriede a Finucane and they had 2 sons and 1 daughter. I gather that one of the sons, a Sonny Finucane may still be alive but I will have to check that out.
I also have a reference to yougggrandfaher, James Finucane as he ran away with the Fitzell girl at the same time as Dan.
My mothers cosins are still in Tarbert and Denis Finucane(a Graqndson of Patsy's farm at Kilcolgan beside Tarbert and I intend visiting them in the new year.
Other names on my file include, Keanes, O'Connors,McEvoys,
Lynchs, Mullins. They all lived for generations around Tarbert and My granduncle Pat Finucane wrote some articles on the history of Tarbert which I have and will send to you.
I would be most grateul for any information you may have and also the information gathered by your grandfather Ed.
