Ann FINUCANE b. Circa 1828 in Ireland

It's been a while so thought I should update my FINUCANE ancestor...

My ancestor, Ann FINUCANE (but have found references to her here in Aust with the spelling of Kinucane, Finnucane, O’Finucan, Finnucan, Fanucan, Kanucan, Phucan, Fenican, Farnucan, Finikin, Phanucan, etc) emigrated to Aust aboard the William Stevenson in 1850. Ann, born circa 1828-34 "at sea" according to her Death Certificate (but can find no record on IGI of birth at sea for her) was, we think, the youngest of 3 orphan sisters (Mary Anne b. circa 1828 Ireland, and Sarah Henrietta born circa 1832 Ireland) who lived in Dublin just prior to emigration and were sent to Australia (on separate ships in the same year) after the death of their parents, John or Thomas or James and Ellen ?? Finucane, who, by my calculations, both died pre 1851 in Ireland. Not even sure where in Ireland, I just know that two sisters were living in Dublin just prior to their emig’n to Oz. Don’t even know for certain that Ann was a sister to Mary Anne and Sarah H, only have a family rumour to go on. Ann’s death certificate doesn’ help either with her parents names but interestingly it states she was “Born at Sea”. I really don’t know where to turn. On her death certificate Ann's father is listed as a "James FINUCANE, Contractor " and mother is " ? KEITH".

Anyway, Ann is listed as steerage, unassisted - perhaps her sisters paid her way out (if Sarah and Mary Anne are indeed her sisters), we can't be sure. All records here in NSW appear to have been exhausted in clarifing this.

I do know that Ann married in May 1851 at St Lawrence's C/E Sydney a George William Cook of England. She died in 1898. Her first child was Michael William Cook, ch'd R/Catholic on 7.7.1852 at St James R/C Church, Sydney. Second child, Charlotte Margaret, ch'd 5.10.1853 - not sure denomination and all other children ch'd out west in Mudgee area.

Family History Societies here in Oz and Birth Death and Marriage records have been checked as have the Birth Certificates of first couple of children - all the info known is as posted here.

I've really hit a brick wall with this ancestor!
