I would be interested in obtaining those Diaries, even to copy the data from them & return them if you wish. My aunt in London would also be overjoyed. She has been chasing the Finucane Family History for years and anything like this always brings a cheer.
The info I have on William is already quite extensive and possibly the Diaries you have may duplicate a lot of what I've got, but who knows it may also reveal more interesting stories.
One of William's sons was an Albert Cleveland Finucane. It could have been him that is included in your information.
William was also sent to N.Qld, Burketown, Norman River, etc, so it wouldnt surprise me if he did visit PNG.
If you are willing to part with them, & the data on the Golden Slipper, I would be overjoyed, and would even be happy to hand them over to the John Oxley Library after a brief period with me.
