I am looking for info on my great grand father James lee Finnie born around 1858-1861 birth place and parents are unknown. James met his wife Mary Beckham born 1871 to John M. Beckham and Sara Ann Baker in Olive hill Tenn..John and Sara are buried in the Beckham cemetery in Olive hill Tennessee They migrated to Norman Oklahoma .My grand father Charlie Lee finnie was told that The Finnie family got into a big fight and went their own ways, some went to Oregon and the others nobody knows. One of the Finnie's were suppose to be a Doctor.. The original spelling might have been Finney, but got changed along the way..
If anyone knows a Finnie who was born without a soft spot , has lazy eye(eyes) Please contact me. This is a genetic thing that is on the Finnie side, My brother was born with no soft spot and lazy eyes, my cousin was born with no soft spot and her son, he sister was born with a lazy eye.. Rumor has it, James lee Finnie had lazy eyes as well. Also my dads aunt had a baby die nobody knows why, we think the baby was born without a soft spot , back in the early nineteen hundred they wouldn't have known that!!
If someone in your family has both or one of them we are probably related..
I am also looking for info, stories, pictures anything from the Beckham s and the Finnie's!
