I need to make some corrections and additions to my original information. Thomas Joseph Finnegan and his sister, Mary's parents were Thomas Finnegan and Bridget Oniel/O'Neill. I have both parents listed as being born in Ireland, although it appears they lived in England for many years before coming to the US. I am trying to find where Thomas and Bridget are originally from in Ireland. Mary's obituary says she was born in West Aukland, Co. Durham, England in 1865 and in 1880, her family moved to Altamont, Deuel County, South Dakota and later settled in Watertown, South Dakota. She married James Miles Casey, 10 Dec 1887 and he died in Watertown in Jan 1925. The obit also says she was preceeded in death by 12 brothers and sisteres, so this is a fairly large Finnegan line! I hope someone recognized this information and has more information!
