Information Wanted.

William Waterbury, of Louisville, Ky., writes to the Postmaster of Macon, asking information concerning a man of the name of Finley, who came to Louisville the 1st of June, 1813, bringing with him two girls named Margaret and Clementine, the one seven and the other three years of age, whom after a week’s stay, he left with Mr. W. The said Finley has not since been heard from, and the children now being now 16 and 12 years of age, are anxious to be restored to their friends, if they have any living. - The mother of the girls died in Texas, and when they were first brought to Mr. Waterbury’s house, the elder often spoke of her brother, Augustus Finley, and other children of the family. From a paper found after Finley left, it appears that he once lived in Macon, Ga., and belonged to some society here, about the years 1836 or 1837. Margaret said that her mother died, as well as she can recollect, in Cincinnati, Texas. Papers friendly to the cause of the orphan will please copy this notice.
-Georgia Citizen.
