John Finley (1710-1757), son of Samuel Finley, Dublin, Ireland

I am descended from William P. Finlaw (1797-1859) of Salem, New Jersey. I am trying to link the Finlaws with the Finleys of Clan Finley, Scotland. My research tells me that Samuel Finley (1689-1751) emigrated from Dublin, Ireland with his sons on the Eagle Wing to Newcastle, Delaware in 1720, and that one of his sons was John (1710-1757). Unfortunately, both Albert Finley France and RADM Herald Franklin Stout stop here with Samuel's death in Cecil County, Maryland in 1751. FamilySearch.org info submitted by Patricia Guinivan of Summit, New Jersey, suggests that John married Rebecca Maskell in May 1731 in Cecil County, Maryland, and died in Salem, New Jersey. FamilySearch.org then suggests genealogy from John to James Finley or Finlaw (1745-1792), to Robert Finlaw (1767- ?), to William P. Finlaw, to James Parker Finlaw (1847-1939), to Lulu Vroom Finlaw Richmond (1877-1966), my paternal grandmother. Can anyone help me with the Finley-Finlaw connection, and with proof of John (1710) to the present?
