I am the ggg grandson of Daniel Finlayson of Cumberland County, NC area. My grandfather Burruss moved from Cumberland County to Chesterfield County where he was a Cheraw resident until his death in 1950. I would suggest that you check North Carolina Census records to begin your search. Maybe this is the same Daniel.
