I would appreciate it if anyone with information on a Finlayson family in Wayne or Johnston Counties would contact me. All I know is that my great-great-great-grandmother was Isabella (Isabel) Finlayson. She was born about 1831 and died between 1860 and 1867. She married John Crawford Bridgers by 1850 and lived in Johnston County. Her daughter, my great-great-grandmother (Mary Eliza Bridgers), was living with a W. H. Finlayson in Goldsboro, Wayne County in 1880. I do not know what his connection would be. Based on his age, I would assume he might be her uncle. Again, I would be grateful if anyone with any information would contact me!
