Jackie, I think I'm getting confused with all the Daniels. However I do have a Daniel F.(Findlay?) McRae b. Apr 22 1822, the son of Alexander Bain and Effy McRae. This Daniel F. McRae m. Christina M. McRae who was the dau. of Duncan and Flora McMillan (McMellan) McRae. At least Flora is buried in the Alex B McRae home cemetery. Also Daniel's sister Susannah Green McRae m. Christina's brother Daniel M. McRae. Another bio from the Telfair Co History, pg.424, also says this Daniel F. was s/o Alexander B. McRae. This bio calls him Major Daniel F McRae,b. 1822, owner of mercantile bus. in Lumber City GA, GA State Senator 1849, m. Christian McRae in 1854 who d. in 1858 leaving three c.--Duncan S., Alexander E., and Christian (Mrs. J. L. Day) of Lumber City, GA In 1862 Major McRae mar. Marion McRae dau of Judge Duncan McRae. They had 7 c....Glynn Preston, James H.(West Point grad and US Army General), Janie (Mrs W.B. Folsom), Anna, Claudia (died young), Leon, & Max L. I don't know if these are the correct people or not. The McRae Family Cemetery has Daniel Finlayson d. Aug 23 1819 42 yrs. Native of Scotland who emigrated to Amer. in 1800. Alex B. McRae b. Oct 1777 D Jun 9 1849 C.M. McRae (Only a footstone with the inscription C. M. McR) Effy McRae May 4, 1793; d May 8, 1862 (beside Alex B McRae) Elizabeth J. McRae b Sep 13 1832; d Nov 9, 1860 (The name E.J. Benton is also on the marker) Flora McRae Died Nov 18, 1858 in the 72nd year of her age. I'm still confused as to how Finlayson is connected. Winnie Notify Administrator about this message?
