Searching for the date and place of birth, parents, siblings, and date and place and manner of death of Wallace Finlayson. His descendents spell their name Fenderson and Fenlason. Wallace arrived in Boston on 6-6-1712 from Fayal, Azores, as a merchant. He m Frances Bennett from Ipswich, MA and they lived and baptized children in Portsmouth, NH. He was a ship's builder and captain and was captured by pirates on Oct 5, 1720. He planned to take up farming, as he took an 80 acre grant of land in Scarboro, ME in 1720. He died before 1727, when his widow was forced to settle on the land or forfeit it. I am a sixth great grandson of Wallace.
