I have discovered another generation of Finlays in Ontario. The David Finlay of my original posting is the son of David Finlay born in Ireland in 1804 County Cavan. Came to Ontario, Beverly Township, via Lockport New York in 1841. May have worked on the Erie Canal before continuing to Ontario.
