William & Mary, sons William & Alexander, Antrim
William Finlay married Mary Jane Dane about 1840. They had two sons William and Alexander.
William jnr was born at Killade, County Antrim. The family
farm was between Loch Neagh and Belfast.
The father, William, was killed in an accident about 1857.
William and Alexander worked at the shipyards in Belfast and Glasgow.
Both sons left Ireland. Alexander was believed to have gone to North America, and William went to South America, and eventually to Australia.
The mother, Mary, died at Newtown Ards in 1899.
William died in Victoria, Australia, in 1934.
Nothing is known of Alexander, since he left Ireland.
