Forum message with above title from David Finlay (msg #2 on forum) listed Christian, George, Janet, Margaret, Ann, James and John as children of James Finlay.
I have a WILLIAM Finlay (1741-1823) with following children: Christian (1770-1826), George (1766-1769), Janet (1776-1779), Margaret (1779-1858), NO "ANN," James (1784-1862), NO "JOHN'" and also with William (1764-1771), Jean (1774-1786), and David (1786-1787). SInce so many of these names are in common, it seems that we have the same family, but with different information.
