According to his World War I draft registration (DeKalb County, IL) Viktor Seppala, 926 Shipman Rd., DeKalb County, IL, a galvanizer for American Steel & Wire Co., was born 25 Feb 1888 in Wasa, Finland. The record mentions (but doesn’t name) a wife and 3 children.

Victor and wife Lizzie appear in the 1910 US Census in DeKalb County, IL. (City of DeKalb). Both were born in Finland and the record shows Victor immigrated in 1896 and Lizzie in 1894.

Perhaps this will give some further clues that will allow someone to find him in Finnish emigration records.

Paul
