I agree with your observations.I misread Henry's father's given name, which is Juho.
Based on information recorded in the 1910 and 1920 Census data, the couple got married about 1902.
I found the family listed in the 1910 Census data for Allouez, Keweenaw, MI.The enumerator spelled the surname Biekkola. The couple is shown as having been married 8 years, with 1 child, 1 child still living (this would be daughter Impi).Henry was employed as a miner. They resided on Phoenix St. and had two Finnish boarders (both young single men working in the mine) living with them.
I read the 1920 enumerator's spelling of the surname as Biekola.Henry's occupation is given as copper miner. They resided at 304 Phoenix St.
I read the 1930 enumerator's spelling of the surname as Biekkola.Henry's occupation is given as general farm farmer.Impi, then 26 years old and single, was still living with her parents and was employed as a stenographer at an insurance company. They resided at 307 Phoenix St.
If the U.S. Census data is correct, the couple had only one child. Therefore, the other two children in the photo must belong to someone else.
I wonder why three three different enumerators over a 30-year period all spelled the surname starting with a "B" instead of a "P"?
The people in the photo are posed in front of a painted backdrop depicting a coastline with a lighthouse.Lake Michigan perhaps?
