Thank you so much for your help, Alicia. Thanks great that you found the Border Crossing record for Eva. That fits, but I'm still not able to find any information about her parents. My grandmother went back to Finland and met her mother Eva's relatives, but the information she left me is very confusing. It looks like she found Hiltunen relatives in or around Suomussalmi. She listed their names as Elizabeth and Heikki Kinnunen, and identified Heikki as an uncle or great uncle. He was 85 years old in 1967. After their names she wrote AmmanSaari, Kurimon Posti, Metsarinne, Finland. Is this by Suomussalmi? She also listed Salli Hiltunen as a wife of a cousin and said she lived at Halli. Is this also in that area? She also met Uncle Heikki's son and daughter-in-law who were newlyweds in 1967 and lived in Heikki Kinnunen's home. Their names were Leena and Taisto Kinnunen.

I have tried to use to Finnish Genealogical site, but am not getting very far because I'm so confused about places and surnames. How do I find out who Eva's parents were? Is there any way to contact any living relatives in Finland? Any additional help would be greatly appreciated. Karen
