Hello,
I'm trying to find information about the marraige of Anna Walborg Ämmälä b: 01 Dec 1873 Kemijärvi. She arrived in the US July 1896 on the ship Umbria and is found in the 1900 census married to John Jones:

in U.S.:18 years Occup.: Ice Man
ANNA (wife) SEPT.1863 Finland Immigrated:1896
in U.S.:4 years (O children)
I have descendant information for John & Anna and I have much of the ancestor family tree for Anna. I am hoping to find out John's name before he came to US in about 1882 - found in 1895 US Minn. Census - and/or where in Finland he came from. I have his death certificate which lists his fater as John Jones and place of birth as Finland.

ICE MAN KILLED BY FALL
John Jonas, 38 Cedar Lake Road, an employee of the Cedar Lake Ice Company, died at the Swedish Hospital late yesterday as the result of a fall from the company's ice shed at Hiawatha Avenue and Twenty-fourth Street. His skull was smashed in the fall and he was injured internally. He was 61 years old and is survived by a wife and four children.
