Amanda/Thomas-

If this is of any help-

Abraham Antinpoika Soderena-
Abraham Antti's son Soderena

Which means Abraham's father's name is Antti. Or in Swedish/American, it is Andrew.

Reetta Juhontytar Joutsen-
Reeta Juho's daughhter Joutsen

Which means Reetta's father's name is Juho, or Swedish/American, is John.

Hold your alt key down and type on the numeric keyboard the number: 148, it will give you the ö. 132 is ä. Are these folks in Finland, or have they crossed over (to what I assume the USA)? Have you tried www.genealogia.fi? What you want to look for in the records is that "middle" name, because alot of times, it will tell you the father's name, and will get you somewhere. Also, the names do change, one because of the languages and war, and two, something called Farmnames. You can either read up on this as to what it is on www.genealogia.fi, also known as the HisKi Project, or go to Cyndislist.com and look under Suomi, which is Finnish for Finland.

If they are American, perhaps I can sneak a look on Heritagequestonline.com and see what I can find- it's a paysite. Alot of times, if you go through your local library, they should have a subscription that is free to their members. That's why I volunteer! I can't remember if I have helped you before, my mind is clouded on midterm exams for college, so if I have, don't mind me!

What other information are you looking for?
