I have no way to type in an umlaut on my computer.
The first name "TILLAH" was given to me by another relative. They stated they had no further info. on her. I realize the correct spelling is ELJA, I must have miss typed.
I have his picture with his name. It came from a newspaper article in Finland. The explanation text is in Finnish which I do not read, i.e.
"Eljas eli "Ella" Leppanen oli aikoinaan maanmainio viuluniekka, joka Turun laulujuhlilla v.. 1920 menestyi mainiosti kansansoittajien kilpailussa. "Ella" oli iloinen mies ja "boheemi - - kuten niin monet muut" suuret taiteiljat""!" (this coul be taiteiliiat).
I only know he died in 1928 Kivijari.(sorry no umlauts).
As for his wife Tillah, or whatever, wish I knew more. That is what I am trying to discover. If I could latch onto any parish records online, which I unfortunately have not been able to do, I might find a marriage record.
I do know that KALLE Leppanen was born in Kivijari ca 1888. He died in America. Sister,Selma, also came to America. She was born July 1, 1891 Kivijari.
That is the extent of my knowledge.
Should you have any other suggestions, I would appreciate them.
