I believe that Rautio is the farm name for Ruonaniemi.I am working on a family whose name was Ruonaniemi that settled in Minnesota.Some of them later changed the family to name to Wright (the county they lived in).

She had six children and all six were still living.She was born in Finland as were both her parents.She immigrated in 1887.She could read and write.
Catarina Ella "Ella" Ruonaniemi born July 10, 1888 in Cokato Minnesota.She was attending school and could read, write and speak English according to the 1900 census.On the 1920 census, she had four children whose last names were Anderson but one son, Ellsworth, whose last name was Miller.But, Ellsworth's mother's maiden name is listed on the death index as Stanger.Vernon Ellsworth Anderson's mother's maiden name is listed as Peterson.Her husband was Ephraim Miller who was born about 1891 in Finland.He immigrated from Finland in about 1908.She died October 19, 1968.

Edward Ruonaniemi born May 26, 1891 in Cokato,Minnesota.According to the 1900 census, he was born in May of 1891 and was attending school.The part about being able to read, write and speak English was blank.He, at some point before 1917, changed his last name to Wright.According to his World War I Draft Registration, he was tall and stout with blue eyes and light brown hair.It was dated June 15, 1917.He was a farmer and living in Cokato. He was 26 years old.He was born in Cokato, Minnesota.He married Helen.According to the 1910 census which was taken April 26 and 27, 1910, he was living at home along with his brother Emil.He was 18 and could not speak English, but he could read and write.According to the 1930 census, Edward was 37 and Helen was 40.They had married when Edward was 29 and Helen was 31 so in about 1921 or 1922.They were both born in Minnesota.Both his parents were born in Finland.Both her parents were born in Sweden.Edward was a farmer.Edward was a veteran of it must have been World War I, but it's hard to read.They had no children.They were living on Chaska and Excelsior Road in Chanhassen, Township in Carver County, Minnesota.They are buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.Helen was born August 2, 1889 and died August 11, 1947.She was interred on August 13, 1947.She is in Section A-11, Site 2274.Edward died September 7, 1944 in Hennepin County and was interred September 11, 1944.He is in Section A-11, Site 2273.
